Carter Worth thinks Tesla (TSLA) can see a counter trend rally off the 150 day moving average to $175 in the short term.  He thinks the stock is due for a 22% rally from $140.

Shares of Tesla (TSLA) have been dropping recently due the media attacking the company due to 3 separate fires which were freak accident, non resulting in injury.  You know what they say, buy low and sell high.  In the $130's, Tesla (TSLA) is very low, down $60 from the recent high.

Carter Worth CNBC 11/13/08 - Long Stocks

Carter Worth Chief Technician of Oppenheimer was on CNBC today, 11/13/08, below are Carter Worth's comments on the stock market. Carter Worth says he is still long.

There's no doubt the stock market has crashed, the stock market is in the throws of pricing all of this bad news in. Markets are going through a healing process and a stabilizing process right now. We are all in on the long side, there is still a lot of fear out there, but one is better served by buying rather then shorting or selling at this point.

Buy the the beaten down sectors, materials, energy, things that have capitulated.

SAP we like, IBM we don't like

Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Wal Mart ( WMT ) we like.

We have a 7-8% stop on our positions.

Carter Worth CNBC 11/03/08 - Election

Carter Worth - Chief Market Technician at Oppenheimer was on CNBC today, 11/03/08 and gave some stock market analysis:

This week could be the biggest week for data in the last decade. We think all the data you will get is all priced into the stock market. The rebounding action should continue over the next few weeks. We think you should be long, not short this stock market.

A McCain victory is not priced into the market but an Obama victory is.

Regional Banks & Insurers are showing signs of life, this is positive for the markets.

Another thing that could really cause the stock markets' to go down is a employment number that is more then 250,000 jobs lost for last month.

We are still bullish!

Carter Worth CNBC 10/23/08 - Carter Worth Stock Market Bottom Call

Carter Worth - 10/23/08 - Chief Technician at Oppenhiemer

Carter Worth has come back on CNBC today - 10/23/08 after I wrote about him earlier in the
week right here.

Carter continues to make the case that you should take a long position in these markets.

"When you come in during the morning and feel a little sick...thats a good feeling because it means we are starting to form a bottom.

Force yourself to Sell extreme strength, Buy extreme weakness....we know about all the bad news out there and we are investing on the long side now.

Our bet: It is better to be buying rather then selling right now

Carter Worth CNBC 10/20/08 - Stock Market Bottom is In

Carter Worth was on CNBC Fast money tonight 10/20/08

We are long...play the beaten down names, Industrials, Coal names

You could buy CNX, BTU, CHK, X

UYM play for a rebound
DIG play this stock for a rebound

The risk reward is good....instead of the meltdown, you could have a meltup going into the end of the year.

" We saw an intermediate low last week that will last for a long time. We should see a strong advance this week in the stock market and beyond.

" The volume that we saw on the way down was capiluation volume and we are all in the stock market now." " We feel the lows are in!"

Carter Worth - Stock Market CNBC Fast Money 10/6/08

CNBC Fast Money Guest: Carter Worth Chief Technical Analyst at Oppenheimer

We blew through the lows of 2004.....basically puts us back into a decent support area.

Carter is making a call that we are in capitulation phase of the latest decline and is calling for a rebound. S&P 500 has declined 17% on this recent leg down, just like the previous two legs down this year.

Carter made the case on Fast Money tonight for a temporary rebound in the US markets.

Carter Worth has been dead on calling the market declines over the past few years.....hes debated it live with people completely disagreeing with him like day and night.
