General Motors (NYSE:GM) Stock Analysis 10/23/11
General Motors Co. (NYSE:GM) stock soared 6% on Friday after Ford received a credit rating upgrade. This news sparked me to take another look into the technical of GM stock.General Motors (NYSE:GM) hit a low of $19.05 at the beginning of October and has been going up ever since. GM has been in a nice uptrend and has been bouncing off the 10 day moving average on every pullback. I would keep an eye on GM's 10 day moving average and if you see a close back below this level, sell.

General Motors has had this statement on their website fort several weeks and also released a PR telling people to stop buying their stock because it will soon be worthless.

GM CEO Rick Wagoner to Resign 3/30/09
There are several report flying around the General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner is set to resign immediately. Below are some of the articles:
CNBC -General Motors Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner is stepping down as head of the embattled automaker CNBC has learned Sunday.
AP - AP Source: GM CEO Wagoner to step down immediately
So what does this mean for General Motors ( GM ) stock on March 30, 2009? I would guess that this is a positive news development for the company. This guy failed as a CEO. When sports coaches do a horrible job, they get fired almost immediately. For some reason, this does not happen in the financial world. Take Mel Karmazin of Sirius XM Radio ( SIRI ) for example. All this guy did over the past 5 years was pump his stock and look where it is today. From $7 to almost bankrupt. Mel Karmazin is still the CEO, I don't get it!
Nevertheless, I think GM should do good on this news tomorrow!! Could new blood save GM? You can't do much worse!

GM Stock Analysis 3/26/09 March 26 2009
General Motors ( GM ) stock is up 10% to $3.29 this morning due to the the hopes that the Auto Task Force will be giving GM another loan at the end of the month. There is also hope that the worst is over for the automakers.General Motors Technical Analysis - March 26, 2009
http://stockcharts.com
GM stock analysis is very easy. General Motors has been bouncing off of the 10 day moving average since closing over it in early March. GM also had trouble breaking up though the 50 day moving average for several day but finally closed over this level last week. These two moving averages ( $2.71 & $2.81 ) offer solid support going forward. As you witnessed yesterday, buyers are lined up at these levels. A close below these two moving averages would be bearish and I would be selling my position.
On the upside, the key price that I am watching is $3.54. This was the high on Monday which caused a sell-off. If General Motors stock can get enough buyers to push it through the $3.54 level, I see the next stop at around $4 eventually. After $4.00, I see $4.49 and then $5.87. Lets focus on closing over $3.54 first!

GM Stock Analysis 3/20/09 March 20 2009
The following is technical analysis for General Motors ( GM ) stock - March 20, 2009Support: $2.80, $2.40, $2
Resistance: $3.00, $3.50
GM stock is looking fairly good here as it is trending over the 50 day moving average. I am watching for a close over $3 as a sign this rally is not yet over. The market is pricing in another bail out loan and possibly that if things improve it could potentially be the last loan. GM has support around the $2.40 level and $2. A close below these two an GM stock will restest the lows. General Motors needs to stay above the 50 day moving average! For More Technical Analysis - Go Here

Stock Market 3/14/09 Dow Jones Report
The Stock Market was up big this week with financials leading the charge. The Dow Jones, Nasdaq, and S&P 500 were up four straight days starting on Tuesday. Check out my technical analysis for Monday. As you can see, we are approaching major resistance areas near the 50 day moving average.
Stock Market Report - March 14, 2009
Next week will be an interesting week as we see if these recent stock market gains can hold. Sunday night Ben Bernanke will kick things off with an appearance on 60 minutes. He will follow things up with a Fed meeting on 3/17 & 3/18.
General Motors ( GM ) - So GM stock rallied big this week going from about $1.55 to $2.85, closing at $2.72. General Motors told the Government they will not need the 2 billion in March as their cost cutting measures working. However, they will still need to huge loan to get by and it could be as much as 14.6 billion.
GM, struggling to avoid bankruptcy amid a global sales slump, has been surviving on the federal loan it won in late December. The administration's auto task force faces a March 31 deadline to decide whether to give GM and Chrysler additional loans.
GM News afterhours 3/13/09 - GM stock down 12% tonight as they try to get Europe to bail them out. GM, which is on the verge of bankruptcy and bailed out by the U.S. government, is seeking for a 3.3-billion-euro bailout for Opel, GM Europe's major part, from European governments while looking for buyers. Also, GM Recalls 277,000 Vehicles For Gear Problem.
TALF - What is Talf? Next week, the deadline for the first wave a TALF will close. The Fed announced it was extending TALF by two business days. This announcement extends the deadline for recording TALF loans until the close of business on March 19. The settlement/disbursement date remains March 25 for this first wave of TALF lending. The TALF seems to be the lone Government program that might actually work!
Stock Watch 3/16/09 - These stocks were hot on Friday, keep them on your stock watchlists for Monday.
