The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9665 on 9/25/09, as the stock market sold off for the 3rd straight day. The Dow Jones Futures started the day higher but a fresh round of selling hit the market right after the open. By afternoon, the Dow Jones was down around 60 but then the stock market improved going into the close. Research in Motion Ltd ( RIMM ) was one of the worst performers today after the company missed sales estimates. Shanda Games Limited (GAME), which IPO'd Friday, was also down huge. Shanda Games Limited is a spin off of Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd. (SNDA). Speaking of IPO's, A123 Systems, Inc. (AONE) continues to trade strongly after its second day of trading. I would buy AONE for a trade if the stock would break above $20.70.

As far as the Dow Jones goes, there are two levels I am watching. The first level is the 50 day moving average which is located at 9383. The Dow has not pulled back to this moving average in three months so a correction would be quite healthy. The second area I am watching is the 10 day moving average located at 9746. This level is strong resistance right now but a close over it would bring in buyers. Check out some of the events I will be watching for Monday.

Research in Motion Ltd. (RIMM) released earnings last night and reported worse then expected sales. The stock is now hovering right around the $70 support level. Keep an eye on $71.42 which was Friday's high of the day. When RIMM breaks up above this level, I will buy RIMM for a trade as it will signal a trend reversal. I would also be buying RIMM if it can trade back around $65 per share. On the upside, besides $71.42, RIMM will have resistance at $75 and the 50 day moving average located at $76.77.

It seems as though everyone is watching Libor rates these days. Today's Libor Rates for 9/25/09 are: 1 Month Libor Rate - 0.246% & 3 Month Libor Rate - 0.283%. The overnight Libor rate is 0.213%. As you can see, Libor Rates have changed today, September 25, 2009.

While the 1 month libor rate went down, the overnight and 3 month libor rates stayed the same.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - During the last hour Wednesday, FAS broke down through two key support levels of $88.13 & $86.50. FAZ was then the stock to jump into. On Thursday, FAS tried to get back above $86.50 during the morning but then failed and broke the $82.50 support level. Keep an eye on the next few support levels for FAS - $77.60, $73.90. I'd be a buyer of FAS between these two support levels. I think the easy money on FAZ has been made in the short term.

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG tanked on Thursday with the stock market, keep an eye on support at $43.80 and $41.26. If these don't hold, I think AIG would go back below $40. Waiting for AIG to break above the high of the day to buy again.

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup actually held up pretty well on Thursday despite the last two days of stock market selling. Keep an eye on the 10 day moving average at $4.42. This needs to hold on a closing basis or else I would move to the sidelines.

Bank of America Corp (BAC) - Bank of America Corporation failed to break $18.24 this past week. This is a price to keep an eye on in the future. When BAC closes above $18.24, I think it can go into the $20's. Right now, I am looking to buy at the 50 day moving average which is located at $16.03.

YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) - YRCW failed at $6.18 on Thursday, just shy of the $6.26 resistance level. If the stock pulls back to the 10 day moving average ( $4.31 and rapidly climbing ), I would be a buyer.
