The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9544 on 8/26/09, as the stock market traded flat most of the day after better then expected new home sales. The Dow Jones Futures started the day lower but stocks rallied right after the open. For most of the trading day, the stock market zig-zagged between positive and negative territory. Tomorrow we will receive the initial jobless claims data from last week at 8:30am EST. This will be a market moving event! Check out some of the events I will be watching for Thursday. The BDI data is critical for how the DryBulk Shipping Stocks such as DryShips Inc ( DRYS ), Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd( EXM ), Diana Shipping Inc ( DSX ), Genco Shipping & Trading Limited ( GNK ), TBS International Limited ( TBSI ), Navios Maritime ( NM ), Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. ( EGLE ), Paragon Shipping Inc. ( PRGN ), Star Bulk Carriers Corp. ( SBLK ), and OceanFreight Inc ( OCNF ) will trade during the day. As you probably know, the Dry Bulk Shipping index can tell you a lot about the state of the World Economy. When Bulk Shipping Rates are at all time highs, the World Economy is outstanding. Stocks to Watch - 8/26/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup hit support at $4.68 and then bounce near $4.80 Tuesday. Resistance continues to be located at $5. As soon as Citigroup breaks and closes $5, it will become marginable for retail investors and big funds will be allowed to own the stock again. This alone will probably drive the stock to $5.25-$5.50.

Human Genome Sciences Inc. (HGSI) - HGSI continues to rise on a buyout rumor. $20 is resistance.

Fannie Mae (FNM) - Resistance $2, $2.13

Freddie Mac (FRE) - Resistance - $2.35

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - Resistance - $35, $35.45 & $38.40. I will be a buyer of pullbacks below $31 with a stop at $29.99. AIG had a false breakout Monday due to the gap over $35. The stock remains very strong however!

Universal Bioenergy, Inc. (UBRG.PK) - If you link Pink Sheets stocks, watch UBRG....up over 1,000% on Tuesday

SIRIUS XM Radio Inc. (SIRI) - Resistance - close over $0.75, Support in the low $0.60's where I'd become a buyer. Jim Cramer gave some bearish comments on SIRI Monday night, basically calling it a junk stock. Years ago, he was telling everyone to Buy Buy Buy at $5.00.

Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - HEB soared yesterday when the swine flu report came out and suggested 30-50% of American's will get swine flu this winter. The stock is now back to $2 which should hold. I will be waiting to see what happens in the next few days before I get involved again. HEB is a great trading stock though so what it closely!

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - CTIC is back at support around $1.60. Expecting to hear back from the FDA on September 4, 2009 about Fast Track status. Resistance - $1.85

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS continues to hold Friday's low of $74.29. For a quick trade, I will be buying FAZ is FAS breaks below $74.29. A close over $79.36 would be bullish for FAS.
