November 19, 2011 - Where will the stock market be in 2012? How high will the stock market go in 2012? These are some of the questions I will answer briefly as I give my predictions for the stock market for 2012.

As for my stock market forecast for next year, 2012 will be the year of volatility. Since August 2011, we've seen the volatility index remain above 30 ( this is a high level ) for about 90% of the time. As we navigate our way through the European crisis, there will be huge up days and huge down days in the stock market. A good way to play these swings without having huge exposure to individual stocks would be to trade TNA/TZA.
I expect a year end 2011 rally followed by a decline in the first quarter of 2012. In my opinion, April 2012 will be a good month and then we will Sell in May and Go Away in May of 2012. I am expecting a choppy volatile summer followed by another year end rally into 2013.
Knowing what I know as we head into December 2011, these are my predictions for the stock market in 2012. When the facts change, I will change and provide more updates.
