Stock Market Futures for 8/9/11 - Updated on 8/8/11
The Dow Jones and Stock Market Futures rallied all the way back to the green overnight. The stock market dropped going into the close which caused more selling in after hours but then we saw the Dow Jones come back from a 300 point drop overnight. Expect more volatility Tuesday as the Volatility Index (VIX) nears the high of the year around 48. During the crash of 2008/2009, we saw the VIX spike into the 90's.
