The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 10810 on 8/8/11, as the stock market tanked hard today on a US Debt Downgrade by S&P and recession fears. Panic has overtaken Wall St. and people shooting now and asking questions later. The Volatility Index (VIX) is up at 46 vs 16 several weeks ago so we are seeing a huge spike in fear.

The S&P 500 will now have support between 1080-1100 so if you are looking for an area to buy, this would probably be a good area. As always, keep a tight stop.
The good news is that given the large declines we've been seeing, a jaw dropping rally is just around the corner.
