Resistance Levels: $16.87, $17.52

Support Levels: $15.85, $15.15, $14.79

General Electric Co. (GE) closed back below the 10 day moving average on Friday so I would be avoiding the stock short term unless we see a close back over this level. Support is located between $15.85-$16 but if this fails, look for the recent low of $15.15 to be retested. I would be a buyer between $14.79-$15.15. Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9996 on 10/16/09, as the stock market was weak in the morning but rallied at the end of the day. The Dow Jones Futures started the day down around 75 points after BAC and GE reported disappointing earnings. The Dow Jones fell around 110 points before rallying back going into the close. The Dow Jones continues to trade around 10,000 which is a major signal of strength.

Next week we will receive some key earnings out of the technology sector which could really move the market in a big way. Fasten your seat belts!

( EGLE ), Paragon Shipping Inc. ( PRGN ), Star Bulk Carriers Corp. ( SBLK ), and OceanFreight Inc ( OCNF ) will trade during the day. As you probably know, the Dry Bulk Shipping index can tell you a lot about the state of the World Economy. When Bulk Shipping Rates are at all time highs, the World Economy is outstanding. It seems as though everyone is watching Libor rates these days. Today's Libor Rates for 10/16/09 are: 1 Month Libor Rate - 0.245% & 3 Month Libor Rate - 0.284%. The overnight Libor rate is 0.187%. As you can see, Libor Rates have changed today, October 16, 2009. While the 1 & 3 Month Libor Rates stayed the same, the overnight libor rate dropped.
