Molycorp (MCP) stock was downgraded at JP Morgan this morning after the firm cut earnings estimates. The new 2012 price target is $66, down from $105. Molycorp (MCP) has been hurt by the slide in rare earth metal prices which spiked earlier in the year. There was a lot of hype around the stock as prices were on the rise, but now it seems the bubble is slowly popping. MCP stock is currently trading at $49.50 in pre market, down 6.6%.
As for the technicals, don't buy until MCP drops below $40. There is major support around $45 if you are looking for a MCP bounce trade.

Wells Fargo & Company WFC - $20 Price Target
October 8, 2009 - UBS has come out and slapped $20 Price Target on shares on Wells Fargo & Company (WFC) today as the firm initiated coverage. This is rather strange and to be honest, I'm not buying the call.
With the stock trading near $30, it would take a HUGE shoe to drop in order for this call to come true. The stock has bullet-proof support at the $24 level which has held numerous times when the Dow Jones was under 9000.
Wells Fargo & Company (WFC) is set to report earnings Oct 21, 2009.

Apple AAPL Downgraded 12/15/08 Goldman Sachs
Apple Computer ( AAPL ) has been downgraded today, December 15, 2008, by Goldman Sachs to Neutral from Buy. Weak consumer spending in the short term, and risk of the stock's valuation premium coming down if iPhone sales fall short of expectations in the first half of 2009. Goldman Sachs also removed Apple from Americas Buy List.
"Shipments of MacBooks, iPod nanos, and iPhone were all slightly lower than what was expected going into the (December) quarter," analyst David Bailey wrote in a note to its clients.

Baidu.com BIDU Downgraded Citigroup 11/19/08
Citigroup is out this afternoon, 11/19/08, downgrading Baidu.com ( BIDU ) to sell. Baidu.com has been hit hard lately due to a report that they rank unlicensed drug companies higher in their search engine because they pay more.
At this point, I will have to see if $110 & $100 hold before I get back in....just one bad news story after another in this terrible stock market. I wonder when Baidu will put their 200 million buyback plan to work. They could buy back 6% of the company at this price.
This definitely benefits Google ( GOOG ) as they are #2 in China search.

9/11 Lehman ( LEH ) Downgraded by Citigroup ( C )
This morning Lehman Brothers ( LEH ) is getting pounded yet again. I can't wait until this thing goes to zero so we can stop talking about it. The company has been in denial since it went under $50. The have access to the discount window yet they are not using it. The claimed a month ago everything was fine yet they are selling off assets at the worst time.
Anway...to the Lehman ( LEH ) news of the day.....
Citigroup ( C ) is cutting Lehman to hold from buy.....price target $9. This is halarious....why didn't Citigroup do this on Monday went LEH stock was at $15? They would look like heros, but instead, C looks like idiots today...waiting so long to downgrade it.
What I can't understand is why financials are still downgrading other financials? The financials have been in freefall since early 2007..... don't you think they have been a sell this whole time?
