Is the stock market open on Thanksgiving Thursday? No, Wall Street is closed! The Stock Market, which includes the Dow Jones, Nasdaq, S&P 500, Banks, and Bond Market will be closed on 11/24/11 for Thanksgiving which is a National Holiday. Post Offices & Banks will also be Closed.

The Stock Market will reopen on 11/25/11 ( for Black Friday ) and resume trading at 8am for pre market but close at 1pm EST.

Stock Market Hours:

11/23/11 - November 23, 2011 - Open - Regular Trading Hours
11/24/11 - November 24, 2011 - Closed - Thanksgiving
11/25/11 - November 25, 2011 - Open - Black Friday, 1pm EST Close

Banks:

Banks will be closed for Thanksgiving but will be open for Black Friday ( 11/25/11 )

Post Offices:

The Post Office will be closed on Thansgiving but will be open for Black Friday ( November 25, 2011 )
