The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 11955.01 on 10/31/11, as the stock market dropped hard as MF Global (MF) filed for bankruptcy and Italian bond insurance touched 6%. The S&P 500 was extremely oversold so any bit of bad news would have sent it crashing. All eyes will be on the open tomorrow to see if we extend losses. Shares of MF are still halted and will probably be delisted.
