The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 11913 on 10/24/11, as the stock market after earnings out of Caterpillar were better than expected. We continue to rally because fear is easing, we won't go into recession, the Europe crisis probably won't spread to the US, and nobody believes the rally. As long as people are bearish, the rally will continue until they eventually switch over to bullishness near the top. This is just how the cycle goes.
