The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9963 on 10/29/09, as the stock market soared on a better then expected GDP number as well as a weak US Dollar. The Dow Jones Futures were only up 30 before the GDP report was released but as soon as we got the better then expected reading, the Futures began to soar. During the afternoon, the Dow Jones was up 200 points at one point and looked strong going into the close.

The Dow Jones came within 30 points of the 50 day moving average yesterday. I would say that was successful retest. We are now hitting resistance at the 10 day moving average at 9958. Both the 10 day moving average and Dow 10,000 will continue to be major short term resistance levels. After the sell off this week, a close over 10,000 over the next few days will sure be a victory for the bulls. It may even start a new short squeeze to new highs. Stay Tuned!
