The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9882 on 10/27/09, as the stock market was mixed today. The Dow Jones Futures began the day higher but then the stock market fell on a worse then expected consumer confidence reading. At 11am EST, news came out that International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) would be adding an additional 5 billion to their stock buyback program. This sent the Dow Jones soaring but came back to earth late in the trading day.

The Dow Jones continues to struggle with 10,000. Support is located at the 50 day moving average which is up to 9690. Check out some additional events I will be watching for Wednesday. If you are a stock trader, check out my stocks to watch report for tomorrow.
