The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9779 on 9/21/09, as the stock market was down big in the morning but regained half the losses going into the close. The Dow Jones Futures started the day lower after investors decided to lock in some gains as we approach Dow 10,000. We then received news that Dell Inc. (DELL) would be buying Perot Systems Corp. (PER) which caused the futures to come off their lows. Shares of PER were up 65% today. Some big late day movers today were AIG, FRE, FNM, and ETFC. Keep an eye on those tomorrow.
