BigCommerce (BIGC) Stock IPO - The Next Shopify (SHOP)?

July 15, 2020 - Online ecommerce company BigCommerce plans to IPO in the coming months under the ticker symbol "BIGC."  BigCommerce (BIGC) stock will be red hot because the company is a smaller version of Shopify (SHOP) and Wix (WIX) which have seen massive gains since coming public.  BigCommerce (BIGC) is one of those IPO's that you buy a little bit on opening day and lock it away as a long term investment.

BigCommerce is a technology company which provides customers with a Saas platform.  They provide web hosting, SEO services, and a lot of the same services that Shopify (SHOP) offers.

BigCommerce is leading a new era of ecommerce. Our software-as-a-service (“SaaS”) platform simplifies the creation of beautiful, engaging online stores by delivering a unique combination of ease-of-use, enterprise functionality, and flexibility. We power both our customers’ branded ecommerce stores and their cross-channel connections to popular online marketplaces, social networks, and offline point-of-sale (“POS”) systems. As of June 1, 2020, we served approximately 60,000 online stores across industries in approximately 120 countries.

BigCommerce operates at the forefront of a world of commerce that is changing rapidly. The transition from physical to digital commerce constitutes one of history’s biggest changes in human behavior, and the pace of change is accelerating. According to eMarketer Inc. (“eMarketer”), retail ecommerce was nonexistent in the early-1990s and grew to approximately 10% of all global retail spending in 2017. They predict it will take just six years for this percentage to more than double to 21% of global retail spending in 2023, as shown in the chart below. The growth in ecommerce has no end in sight.

IPO Offering - They want to raise $100 million
Potential Float Shares - 30 million

Tesla (TSLA) Earnings Preview for July 22, 2020

Shares of Tesla (TSLA) continue to rebound into earnings after a massive $365 drop from $1795.  All eyes are now on earnings which will set the tone into the Battery Day event on September 22nd.

Tesla (TSLA) already announced deliveries of 90,650 vehicles in Q2 despite the Fremont, CA plant being shut down for nearly two months.  If the company can report a fourth consecutive profit, they should finally be added to the S&P 500.  The inclusion into the S&P alone could propel the stock significantly higher but I suspect a lot of big funds already took a position.

Wall St. analyst's are expecting the average numbers below:

EPS - (-$0.71) loss
Sales - $5.14 Billion

Any large beat will light a torch under the stock again.  If the company can deliver almost 91,000 vehicles during stressful conditions and a partial shutdown, imagine what they will report in Q3 2020.  Tesla (TSLA) is about to start a massive growth cycle with new products coming to market in 2021.  All pullbacks remain a strong buy and that is what I plan to do if we see any downside below $1200-$1300.

nCino (NCNO) - nCino (NCNO) was the red hot IPO that opened for trading on Tuesday.  Shares opened in the $71's and then closed in the $91's.  Watch for more upside tomorrow with the stock market gapping higher on the positive Moderna (MRNA) data.

Tesla (TSLA) - Tesla (TSLA) saw a huge price target increase today but the stock is still digesting the massive move recently.  I sold 1/3 of my position yesterday and took most of my principal investment out of the stock.  I plan to buy back in the $1100's or purchase other stocks.  More on TSLA....

Virgin Galactic (SPCE) - Virgin Galactic (SPCE) came close to $21 Monday but then sold off into the close.  I love this stock long term and I'm expecting more big news later this fall as the company gets ready to send passengers to Space.  SPCE is a strong buy in the $15's for the long term.

Hyliion (SHLL) - Hyliion (SHLL) will IPO and begin trading under the ticker symbol HYLN in about two months.  I purchased this stock around $18 recently as I view shares very cheap compared to Nikola (NKLA) which has no sales.  I sold a little bit in the $30's and started buying those back to hold into the HYLN IPO.

Beyond Meat (BYND) - Beyond Meat (BYND) has been dropping lately as traders move to other stocks and analysts doubt this company again.  My 2020 was met a month ago and now I'm buying back near $125.  All eyes will be on earnings in three weeks.   More on BYND.....

Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) - GBTC is forming a base after the Bitcoin halving event cut the new supply in half.  I'm bullish on Bitcoin and GBTC for the rest of 2020.  GBTC remains a strong buy on all major pullbacks.

Tesla (TSLA) - Tesla (TSLA) exploded exploded to $1795 Monday morning but then crashed into the close.  I sold 1/3 of my position in pre market and took most of my principal investment out of the stock.  I plan to buy back in the $1100's or purchase other stocks.  More on TSLA....

Virgin Galactic (SPCE) - Virgin Galactic (SPCE) came close to $21 Monday but then sold off into the close.  I love this stock long term and I'm expecting more big news later this fall as the company gets ready to send passengers to Space.  SPCE is a strong buy in the $15's for the long term.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 26,086 on 7/13/20, as the stock market sold off into the close.  Tesla (TSLA) almost hit my 2021 price target of $1800 but then saw a violent sell-off late in the day.  I sold 1/3 of my position at $1635 this morning and will hold the rest.  I currently own Tesla (TSLA), Beyond Meat (BYND), Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), Virgin Galactic (SPCE), and Hyliion (SHLL > HYLN).  Check out my Top Stock Picks 2021.

Li Auto (LI) Stock IPO - Chinese EV Electric Car Company

July 11, 2020 - Chinese EV electric car company Li Auto plans to IPO this month under the ticker symbol "LI."  The rise of Tesla (TSLA) has lit a fire under electric car stocks recently with shares of Tesla (TSLA) jumping 270% in 2020.  Nio (NIO), which is Li Auto's rival in China, has seen a rally of 272% in 2020.

Li Auto (LI) stock will be red hot when it opens in a few weeks.  While I'm always skeptical of China stocks because of accounting scams, this IPO is worth trading if you don't want to invest like me.  I will be updating this post with more information when it is released.  Keep an eye on LI Stock!

Through their product, technology, and business model innovation, Li Auto provides families with safe, convenient, and cost-effective mobility solutions. Their first model, Li ONE, is a six-seat, large premium electric SUV equipped with a range extension system and cutting-edge smart vehicle solutions. Tesla (TSLA) - Tesla (TSLA) exploded into the $1,500's on Friday after it managed to break through its old record high.  Tesla is rising due to the following news:

• Record Q2 Deliveries 
• Earnings Estimates are too low
• Fully autonomous technology is closer than people think
• Bearish analyst Goldman Sachs put a floor on the stock with a $1,300 price target
• Tesla could be added to the S&P 500 with a profit
• $20 billion worth of stock is sold short; shares a scare due to long term holders
• Tesla (TSLA) is the next Apple (AAPL) and Amazon (AMZN) 5-10 years from now

While the price is high, shares are scarce and many of the talking heads who missed this story have been bearish since $500.  Tesla (TSLA) should be included in the S&P 500 soon and I'm expecting shares to hit $1800 at some point in 2021.  While this price target now looks too low, I may have to revise later this year based on different events.  More on TSLA....

Virgin Galactic (SPCE) - Virgin Galactic (SPCE) exploded up to $20 but then sold off back to $19.  I love this stock long term and I'm expecting more big news later this fall as the company gets ready to send passengers to Space.  SPCE is a strong buy in the $15's for the long term.

Hyliion (SHLL) - Hyliion (SHLL) will IPO and begin trading under the ticker symbol HYLN in about two months.  I purchased this stock around $18 recently as I view shares very cheap compared to Nikola (NKLA) which has no sales.  I sold a little bit in the $30's and started buying those back to hold into the HYLN IPO.
