Stocks to Watch - 10/7/10 - Stock Market Investing Ideas
Hyperdynamics Corporation (HDY) - Shares of Hyperdynamics Corporation surged to a new 52 week high on Thursday as the stock market headed lower. HDY is one of my Top 2011 Stock Picks so far. Support is located at $2.50, $2.38, & $2.20.
Sirius XM Radio (SIRI) - Shares of Sirius XM Radio failed to hit a new 52 week high on Thursday and are stalling out. Sirius XM Radio does not have any major resistance until $1.30. Sirius XM Radio closed above $1.25 and so far it is holding which tells me $1.40's could be coming.
Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - Shares of Ambac Financial Group, Inc. broke out again on Thursday but stopped in the $0.90's. Ambac is risky below $1.00 and might end up having to do a reverse split. I will not be buying Ambac until it gets back above $1.00.
Baidu, Inc. (BIDU) - Shares of Baidu, Inc. continue to be very volatile. Baidu will now have resistance located at $105. Baidu Inc, would be a good buy below $80 if we ever see a major correction. Baidu is also interesting on a pullback to $88 which is the current 50 day moving average.
American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - Shares of American Intl Group, Inc. hit $41.40 on Thursday. Pullbacks below $37 are now a buy until further notice.
Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS traded in the $23's and then fell back to $22 on Thursday. FAS will have resistance next week at $23.17 but then nothing until $24. The financials show signs of life but then roll over. Keep an eye on Bank of America Corp at $13.

(YRCW) - Origin Agritech Limited (SEED) - Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARNA) - Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - DryShips, Inc. (DRYS) - Bank of Ireland (IRE) - Samson Oil & Gas Limited (SSN) - Altair Nanotechnologies, Inc. (ALTI) - Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (CYCC) - Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SOMX)
Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) - Shares of Netflix, Inc. continue to trade around $150. Netflix has support on a closing basis located at $150 and needs to hold. If not, Netflix could easily see $140-$145 which should certainly hold. Short Netflix for a trade on a break below $148.
Stec Inc (STEC) - Stec Inc is holding strong due to takeover chatter, again. STEC has put in several double bottoms recently.
Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - Shares of Research in Motion Ltd are back below $50 but holding $46 which is good news. Research in Motion is finally seeing some buying interest as of late and I feel the stock is under huge accumulation. Research in Motion remains a strong long term buy below $50.
YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW)(YRCWD) - Shares of YRC Worldwide Inc. continue to trade sideways after the reverse split. YRC Worldwide Inc is now a sell unless the stock breaks back above $6.00. YRC Worldwide would begin to break out again when the stock breaks above $6.54.
Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARNA) - Shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. were trading flat on Thursday. Arena Pharmaceuticals has resistance at $1.82 & $1.93 and I'd be buying the stock on a break above $2.00.
Rediff.com India Ltd. (REDF) - Shares of Rediff.com India Ltd. (REDF) saw a bounce off the $4.50 low on Thursday. Rediff remains a buy through the high of the day and a short through the low of the day.
Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS) - Shares of Goldman Sachs Group are trading back above $150. Goldman Sachs has resistance located at $155 as well as $156.86 on the upside. Goldman Sachs remains a strong long term buy below $140.
Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) - Shares of Cisco Systems, Inc. are now back above $22 and appear to be starting to break out again. Cisco Systems is a strong buy on anything below $21.50. Cisco Systems has resistance on the upside at $22.51
Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) - Shares of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. are back below $7.00 again. Advanced Micro Devices Inc. is a strong buy below $6.00 if we see a sell off.
Oracle Corp. (ORCL) - Shares of Oracle Corp are now breaking out once again. Oracle does not have any major resistance until $28.22. Oracle stock continues to be on a hot streak since landing Mark Hurd.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - Shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp. are pulling back to $35. Las Vegas Sands has resistance on the upside to $40. Las Vegas Sands continues to be a short through the low of the day.
Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. (POT) - Shares of Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. broke $145 which is bearsh and are now nearing $140. Potash Corp will have resistance located at $150 & $160 with support $140. It doesn't appear right now as if Potash Corp will be getting a premium bid as first thought.
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Shares of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. continue the bearish downtrend. Right now, I'd be avoiding Cell Therapeutics until it breaks above $0.55. CTIC will have resistance located at $0.55 and $0.70.

Apple Inc. (AAPL) stock is trading above $290 this morning on a few upgrades. Apple Inc has major support around the $275 level which held this week. Apple needs to hold this level or we could see the $260's tested. I would start buying Apple in the $260's and add to my position on additional downside. If Apple ran over $300, I would be a seller given the large increase in price recently.

Alcoa, Inc. (AA) Reports So So Earnings
Alcoa, Inc (AA) reported inline earnings expectations tonight depending on where your numbers were at for the quarter. Alcoa Inc stock ran up to about $12.50 in afterhours which is better then the $12.20 close. However, I view Aloca stock as potentially dead money over the next 3-6 months. By early April 2011, we could see Alcoa exactly where it is today.

Alcoa Reports Third Quarter 2010 Results
Alcoa (NYSE: AA) today announced third quarter 2010 income from continuing operations of $61 million, or $0.06 per share, compared with second quarter 2010 income from continuing operations of $137 million, or $0.13 per share, and third quarter 2009 income from continuing operations of $73 million, or $0.07 per share. Third quarter 2010 results included a negative impact for special items of $35 million, or $0.03 per share, compared to a $2 million net charge for special items in the sequential quarter and a positive impact of $34 million, or $0.03 per share, in the year ago quarter.
Quarterly results were impacted by lower London Metal Exchange (LME) prices and negative currency impacts. These were partially offset by higher volumes in Alumina, Flat-Rolled Products, and Engineered Products and Solutions and the continued benefits from Alcoa’s Cash Sustainability Program. Full Release

Hyperdynamics Corporation (HDY) - Shares of Hyperdynamics Corporation surged to a new 52 week high on Thursday as the stock market headed lower. HDY is one of my Top 2011 Stock Picks so far. Support is located at $2.50, $2.38, & $2.20.
Sirius XM Radio (SIRI) - Shares of Sirius XM Radio failed to hit a new 52 week high on Thursday and are stalling out. Sirius XM Radio does not have any major resistance until $1.30. Sirius XM Radio closed above $1.25 and so far it is holding which tells me $1.40's could be coming.
Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - Shares of Ambac Financial Group, Inc. broke out again on Thursday but stopped in the $0.90's. Ambac is risky below $1.00 and might end up having to do a reverse split. I will not be buying Ambac until it gets back above $1.00.
Baidu, Inc. (BIDU) - Shares of Baidu, Inc. continue to be very volatile. Baidu will now have resistance located at $105. Baidu Inc, would be a good buy below $80 if we ever see a major correction. Baidu is also interesting on a pullback to $88 which is the current 50 day moving average.
American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - Shares of American Intl Group, Inc. hit $41.40 on Thursday. Pullbacks below $37 are now a buy until further notice.
Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS traded in the $23's and then fell back to $22 on Thursday. FAS will have resistance next week at $23.17 but then nothing until $24. The financials show signs of life but then roll over. Keep an eye on Bank of America Corp at $13.

Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) - Shares of Netflix, Inc. continue to trade around $150. Netflix has support on a closing basis located at $150 and needs to hold. If not, Netflix could easily see $140-$145 which should certainly hold. Short Netflix for a trade on a break below $148.
Stec Inc (STEC) - Stec Inc is holding strong due to takeover chatter, again. STEC has put in several double bottoms recently.
Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - Shares of Research in Motion Ltd are back below $50 but holding $46 which is good news. Research in Motion is finally seeing some buying interest as of late and I feel the stock is under huge accumulation. Research in Motion remains a strong long term buy below $50.
YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW)(YRCWD) - Shares of YRC Worldwide Inc. continue to trade sideways after the reverse split. YRC Worldwide Inc is now a sell unless the stock breaks back above $6.00. YRC Worldwide would begin to break out again when the stock breaks above $6.54.
Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARNA) - Shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. were trading flat on Thursday. Arena Pharmaceuticals has resistance at $1.82 & $1.93 and I'd be buying the stock on a break above $2.00.
Rediff.com India Ltd. (REDF) - Shares of Rediff.com India Ltd. (REDF) saw a bounce off the $4.50 low on Thursday. Rediff remains a buy through the high of the day and a short through the low of the day.
Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS) - Shares of Goldman Sachs Group are trading back above $150. Goldman Sachs has resistance located at $155 as well as $156.86 on the upside. Goldman Sachs remains a strong long term buy below $140.
Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) - Shares of Cisco Systems, Inc. are now back above $22 and appear to be starting to break out again. Cisco Systems is a strong buy on anything below $21.50. Cisco Systems has resistance on the upside at $22.51
Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) - Shares of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. are back below $7.00 again. Advanced Micro Devices Inc. is a strong buy below $6.00 if we see a sell off.
Oracle Corp. (ORCL) - Shares of Oracle Corp are now breaking out once again. Oracle does not have any major resistance until $28.22. Oracle stock continues to be on a hot streak since landing Mark Hurd.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - Shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp. are pulling back to $35. Las Vegas Sands has resistance on the upside to $40. Las Vegas Sands continues to be a short through the low of the day.
Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. (POT) - Shares of Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. broke $145 which is bearsh and are now nearing $140. Potash Corp will have resistance located at $150 & $160 with support $140. It doesn't appear right now as if Potash Corp will be getting a premium bid as first thought.
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Shares of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. continue the bearish downtrend. Right now, I'd be avoiding Cell Therapeutics until it breaks above $0.55. CTIC will have resistance located at $0.55 and $0.70.

Hyperdynamics Corporation (HDY) - Shares of Hyperdynamics Corporation surged to a new 52 week high on Thursday as the stock market headed lower. HDY is one of my Top 2011 Stock Picks so far. Support is located at $2.50, $2.38, & $2.20.
Sirius XM Radio (SIRI) - Shares of Sirius XM Radio failed to hit a new 52 week high on Thursday and are stalling out. Sirius XM Radio does not have any major resistance until $1.30. Sirius XM Radio closed above $1.25 and so far it is holding which tells me $1.40's could be coming.
Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - Shares of Ambac Financial Group, Inc. broke out again on Thursday but stopped in the $0.90's. Ambac is risky below $1.00 and might end up having to do a reverse split. I will not be buying Ambac until it gets back above $1.00.
Baidu, Inc. (BIDU) - Shares of Baidu, Inc. continue to be very volatile. Baidu will now have resistance located at $105. Baidu Inc, would be a good buy below $80 if we ever see a major correction. Baidu is also interesting on a pullback to $88 which is the current 50 day moving average.
American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - Shares of American Intl Group, Inc. hit $41.40 on Thursday. Pullbacks below $37 are now a buy until further notice.
Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS traded in the $23's and then fell back to $22 on Thursday. FAS will have resistance next week at $23.17 but then nothing until $24. The financials show signs of life but then roll over. Keep an eye on Bank of America Corp at $13.

(DRYS) - Bank of Ireland (IRE) - Samson Oil & Gas Limited (SSN) - Altair Nanotechnologies, Inc. (ALTI) - Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (CYCC) - Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SOMX)
Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) - Shares of Netflix, Inc. continue to trade around $150. Netflix has support on a closing basis located at $150 and needs to hold. If not, Netflix could easily see $140-$145 which should certainly hold. Short Netflix for a trade on a break below $148.
Stec Inc (STEC) - Stec Inc is holding strong due to takeover chatter, again. STEC has put in several double bottoms recently.
Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - Shares of Research in Motion Ltd are back below $50 but holding $46 which is good news. Research in Motion is finally seeing some buying interest as of late and I feel the stock is under huge accumulation. Research in Motion remains a strong long term buy below $50.
YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW)(YRCWD) - Shares of YRC Worldwide Inc. continue to trade sideways after the reverse split. YRC Worldwide Inc is now a sell unless the stock breaks back above $6.00. YRC Worldwide would begin to break out again when the stock breaks above $6.54.
Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARNA) - Shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. were trading flat on Thursday. Arena Pharmaceuticals has resistance at $1.82 & $1.93 and I'd be buying the stock on a break above $2.00.
Rediff.com India Ltd. (REDF) - Shares of Rediff.com India Ltd. (REDF) saw a bounce off the $4.50 low on Thursday. Rediff remains a buy through the high of the day and a short through the low of the day.
Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS) - Shares of Goldman Sachs Group are trading back above $150. Goldman Sachs has resistance located at $155 as well as $156.86 on the upside. Goldman Sachs remains a strong long term buy below $140.
Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) - Shares of Cisco Systems, Inc. are now back above $22 and appear to be starting to break out again. Cisco Systems is a strong buy on anything below $21.50. Cisco Systems has resistance on the upside at $22.51
Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) - Shares of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. are back below $7.00 again. Advanced Micro Devices Inc. is a strong buy below $6.00 if we see a sell off.
Oracle Corp. (ORCL) - Shares of Oracle Corp are now breaking out once again. Oracle does not have any major resistance until $28.22. Oracle stock continues to be on a hot streak since landing Mark Hurd.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - Shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp. are pulling back to $35. Las Vegas Sands has resistance on the upside to $40. Las Vegas Sands continues to be a short through the low of the day.
Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. (POT) - Shares of Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. broke $145 which is bearsh and are now nearing $140. Potash Corp will have resistance located at $150 & $160 with support $140. It doesn't appear right now as if Potash Corp will be getting a premium bid as first thought.
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Shares of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. continue the bearish downtrend. Right now, I'd be avoiding Cell Therapeutics until it breaks above $0.55. CTIC will have resistance located at $0.55 and $0.70.

Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C) tested $4.20 on Thursday and is set to open pre market at $4.15 as the stock market futures are lower. Citigroup Inc has support located at $4.00 which needs to hold on the downside. Citigroup Inc will now have resistance located between $4.20-$4.30 so expect the stock to stall near that area. Citigroup remains a solid long term buy below $4.00 and a strong buy below $3.80.

YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW)(YRCWD) - Shares of YRC Worldwide Inc. continue to trade sideways after the reverse split. YRC Worldwide Inc is now a sell unless the stock breaks back above $6.00. YRC Worldwide would begin to break out again when the stock breaks above $6.54.

Hyperdynamics Corporation (HDY) - Shares of Hyperdynamics Corporation surged to a new 52 week high on Thursday as the stock market headed lower. HDY is one of my Top 2011 Stock Picks so far. Support is located at $2.50, $2.38, & $2.20.
Sirius XM Radio (SIRI) - Shares of Sirius XM Radio failed to hit a new 52 week high on Thursday and are stalling out. Sirius XM Radio does not have any major resistance until $1.30. Sirius XM Radio closed above $1.25 and so far it is holding which tells me $1.40's could be coming.
Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - Shares of Ambac Financial Group, Inc. broke out again on Thursday but stopped in the $0.90's. Ambac is risky below $1.00 and might end up having to do a reverse split. I will not be buying Ambac until it gets back above $1.00.
Baidu, Inc. (BIDU) - Shares of Baidu, Inc. continue to be very volatile. Baidu will now have resistance located at $105. Baidu Inc, would be a good buy below $80 if we ever see a major correction. Baidu is also interesting on a pullback to $88 which is the current 50 day moving average.
