The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 8741 on 6/2/09, as the stock market added on to Monday's gains after a better then expected Pending Homes Sales figure. The Dow Jones Futures started the day lower but after the housing data was released, the stock market quickly turned around. General Motors Corp started trading on the pink sheets stock exchange today under the new ticker symbol GMGMQ.PK. GMGMQ stock hit $0.49 during the afternoon hours while Ford ( F ) continued to run higher. The Dow Jones traded above the 200 day moving average for the first time in over a year. This is a very bullish indicator but watch out for major resistance located at 9000. Tomorrow was get the ADP employment figure released at 8:15am EST.
